About The Artist
When I was asked to choose paintings to put on this website, I chose four of my latest pieces. One of the questions many people ask is “What is your favorite piece?” and the answer is usually “My newest piece.” The reason is simple, it represents the subject matter that most currently rattles around in my brain, that I cannot wait to paint and that I am excited to share with my fellow art lovers. That is why I chose the four pieces to share with you on this website.
Bio
Born in Interlaken, Switzerland, Stefan Geissbuhler moved to the USA to pursue his art career. He has worked as a full time artist since 1992 and has successfully sold his artwork to numerous private and corporate collectors, both in the USA and abroad. Travel, nature and music are his primary sources of inspiration. His most recent work focuses on abstractions that range from free-form and figurative themes to loosely representational landscapes. A common thread is the layering of vibrant colors to create art that visually sings.
Stefan’s artwork can be found in many national and international, private and corporate collections. Stefan was commissioned to create two paintings for internationally known conductor Leonard Slatkin, and Centene Corporation CEO Michael F. Neidorff as gifts from the Chamber Music Society of St. Louis (CMSSL), as well as 16 paintings for display in the 4-star Casino Kursaal hotel in Bern, Switzerland, and several paintings for use on album covers for AAM Recordings and Denver’s Smooth Jazz (FM104.3).

Taking a stroll past a harbor where sailboats are just waiting to depart on their next adventure. Where will they go next? Where have they been? Can I go along?
Phantom 3
The Phantom series so far consist of 12 pieces. They evolved from wanting to create a series of paintings that symbolize fleeting moments in our lives that we all experience and that we would love to experience again.
Synergy
he name for this piece came from an annual contest where my collectors and those who have an interest in my artwork get an opportunity to name a new painting. One of my collectors suggested “Synergy”. I loved the title immediately. When we work with each other to accomplish a common goal, it is “synergy”. Like the wheels and cogs in a machine, we can accomplish a lot more by working together.

I thinks this is one of the best parts about this pice. What it means to me might be different but I just like how when I look at it, it makes me smile. It's the same feeling I get when I listen to my favorite song.

The image quality could probably help to show the quality of the painting a little better. I am just a sucker for details and I would love to see a detailed image of the brush strokes.

I'm guessing it's hard to accomplish but each one of your works is different, and yet it reads as a body. It's refreshing to see your different styles but stay true to your artistic character and not go to far off. I know you have to really push your imagination but the results are amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your work!!!
